In the Orange County Bar, 100% of the members participate in pro-bono work by donating money annually or by donating a specific number of hours of legal expertise to help those who cannot afford to pay. The Orange County Legal Aid Society benefits from this generous pro bono work and Ms. Morgan provided leadership as President to the Legal Aid Society in 1999-2000.

Early in her career, Mary Ann began volunteering as a Guardianship attorney for the Orange County Legal Aid Society, setting up the legal guardianships to help children who are sometimes abandoned or for another reason are without parents. Today, twenty years later, her office bulletin board displays pictures of more than fifty children for whom she has served as a Guardianship attorney. One of her children was two-years old when she opened his case. Next to his two-year-old baby picture is the picture of an 18-year old boy smiling at his high school graduation. This is what motivates Mary Ann.
Mary Ann has excelled as a consumer justice attorney and received the highest accolades from her peers and professional associations. She earned the premier AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, one of the nation’s prominent attorney rating systems. The AV peer review rating illustrates that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence, practiced law for more than ten years, and is recognized for their superior levels of skill and integrity.
